Public Draft of the El Camino Real Precise Plan
We are pleased to present the Public Draft of the El Camino Real Precise Plan. Please review it, and provide any comments or questions here.
The City of Mountain View has drafted the El Camino Real Precise Plan to implement the 2030 General Plan’s policy direction for this area. The 2030 General Plan identifies El Camino Real as a place where a new mix of land uses fosters a more walkable and transit-friendly corridor.
The Draft Precise Plan contains development standards, such as setbacks and height limits; allowed land use uses; architectural design guidelines; and an implementation program for public improvements. The City has also prepared the Draft Environmental Impact Report to disclose environmental information and potentially significant impacts resulting from implementation of the Precise Plan.
Alternatives Briefing Book
An alternatives Briefing Book that addresses ground floor land use, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, height, and scale was prepared in December 2013. Click here to review alternative strategies for the El Camino Real Precise Plan Area. These alternatives were presented at the public workshop (below).
