Planning Division Update

San Antonio Precise Plan (in progress)
Plan to rebuild and strengthen the San Antonio Center and encourage a phased development that promotes viability and coordination of the Center.
Currently running in parallel with the El Camino Real Precise Plan process.
North Bayshore Precise Plan (in progress)
A plan to allow for more sustainable and innovative development, a complementary mix of land uses and open space, improved mobility and strategies to address sea level rise for the area north of Highway 101.
Mountain View Pedestrian Master Plan (2013)
Goals and policies for improving the pedestrian environment in Mountain View.
Bicycle Transportation Plan (2008)
Overview of existing bikeways and bicycle support facilities and planned improvements to entire bikeway system.
Comprehensive updates will start this winter and are detailed in the 2013-14 Captial Improvement Program.

Grand Boulevard Initiative
Regional collaboration dedicated to revitalization of the El Camino Real corridor running through San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
El Camino Real BRT Project
Upgrade of VTA’s Route 522 along El Camino Real from San Jose to Palo Alto. Improvements include reduced headways and travel times, station ticketing and other station upgrades, and upgraded buses. A dedicated lane for buses is being studied but may not be implemented in Mountain View.
